Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Linefree platform. By creating an account or using Linefree, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use Linefree. Store owners must represent a legally registered business entity in South Africa.
2. Account registration
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to break any law or regulation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service.
- Upload content that is unlawful, fraudulent, or infringes others' rights.
4. Payments and disbursements
Linefree facilitates payments via third-party providers (Ozow, Stitch). Merchant disbursements are processed per transaction to the banking details on file. You are responsible for keeping your banking details accurate. Payment processing is subject to the terms and privacy policies of the respective payment provider.
5. Fees
Linefree charges a platform fee on each successful transaction. Current fee structures are available on your dashboard. We may update fees with 30 days' written notice.
6. Refund policy
Shoppers may submit refund requests through the Linefree app. Refunds are reviewed by the store owner and, if approved, processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. If a refund is rejected, a written explanation will be provided. Disputes may be escalated to support@linefree.co.za.
7. Intellectual property
All software, designs, and content on the Linefree platform are owned by Linefree (Pty) Ltd or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without written permission.
8. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, fraud, or non-payment. Upon termination, your data is retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Linefree is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Linefree is not liable for the actions, omissions, or policies of third-party payment providers (Ozow, Stitch) or POS system vendors.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Linefree (Pty) Ltd from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform in violation of these Terms, infringement of third-party rights, or violation of any law.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Western Cape, South Africa.
